Sega Vintage Collections

So who purchased the new vintage collections form Sega, and what did you think of them?

I love the game select screens, next to the hang on bike is a sign that says Fantasy Zone, those cameos/easter eggs are awesome. The monster world game are interesting as well its my first time playing them.

Downloaded both trials. Will unlock Monster World this week and Alex Kidd sometime next month.

I love the presentation! The intro and the menus. Can't wait to check them out more this week.

Makes me wonder if these were being held off for the now sadly forgotten XBOX GAME ROOM. I loved that thing, and they stopped updating it... :(

The Monster world into is great, it has a paper Mario look. It would be nice to see more Sega characters in that style.

Got both , At long last Super Hang-on ported perfectly to a console - love the scan lines too . Super Job SEGA, though imo all the home versions of WonderBoy should have featured (more so given they were all on the Wonder Boy Collection on the PS2.

Monster World IV is definitely something worth playing. I quite like it. The graphics are incredible for a Genesis/Mega Drive game, and the game plays like it could've easily been a successful Game Boy Advance title.

I tried the other two Wonder Boy games, and though they are interesting, I find them too punishing to enjoy at great length. I'll try them again later, but not until I've completed IV.

@Crackdude: I'd imagine all the features carry over.

The only one I got was Monster World IV. I'm loving it so far though. I'm probably two thirds of the way through the game. Great music, great atmosphere.... I can't believe it took this long to get a worldwide release. SEGA did a fantastic job with the port too.

Are these going to make all the Backbone releases obsolete now?

@MadeManG74: I'd imagine.
The presentation of the games is really top notch.

Have they actually doubled up with any previous ones yet? I think Shinobi is the only one.
Would be cool if they released another disc-based one with just a massive collection too.

I only hope they don't double dip too much, I don't know how I would feel about them releasing a marginally better version of SOR2 and the Sonic Games after I've already bought them for example.

Yeah, though I'd totally suck up if they made some sort of Sonic Jam 2

On the PSN at least it seems like most of the stuff that's coming out wasn't in the Ultimate Genesis Collection released a couple of years ago.
I wouldn't worry too much about upgrading if you had an older version of something.
