Sadly, there's been nothing that's really blown my skirt up just yet (apart from maybe hearing that Zeno Clash is getting a new game), but there's been some cool stuff. I'll repost my post from the MS topic:
South Park: looks legitimately great, like a great big tribute to the show. It seems to have captured the humour and a lot of the iconic characters and feel (Jesus with a machine gun, Captain Chaos, City Wok guy..). I'm actually optimistic about this one.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist: Hnnngggghhh, not sold on this just yet. I was honeslty hoping for something more of a return to the classic stealth that made the series big in the first place. I really enjoyed Conviction as well, but ultimately I found the previous games to be better. The good thing is, that playthrough looked like a 'flawless' run through the level, probably on easy as well. I'm sure that you'll really need to depend on stealth more in a lot of sections. The mark and execute looks like it's really brain-dead (and I guess it is), but in Conviction you really needed it to survive the harder difficulties. It's not the instant win button either since you usually can't get everyone at once and you need to melee kill to get access to it. Overall I think it'll be good. I know i'll end up getting it anyway, SC hasn't dissapointed me yet no matter the direction it's taken.
Halo 4: Yep, it's Halo alright. Looks pretty good, but why do they have real life actors for the intro, that looked crap.
Gears of War: Judgement: Lucky guess on the 'Gears of War: Subtitle' call. Teaser trailers are fun, be interesting to see what this turns out like.
Nyko Androd Pad Thingies: Will be cool for emulators on your phone.
End of Nations: Free to play? Just don't make it 'Pay to win' (looking at you Age of Empires Online)
Zeno Clash 2: FUCK YES FUCK YES FUCK YES
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJk2qqXbPiMGuacamelee! Metroid-vania game featuring a masked Mexican wrestler? Count me in. Too bad it's not out for aaages
http://au.ign.com/articles/2012/06/06/e3-2012-combat-exploration-and-hilarity-in-guacameleeSamsung says 'Fuck Consoles' I found this particularly interesting, if not overly 'exciting' I wonder if this will become a new standard soonish?
http://au.ign.com/articles/2012/06/05/e3-2012-how-samsung-joined-the-console-warsIt's basically the on-Live service from years ago that i thought was brilliant, but done even better. This could be big if they do it right.
Beyond: Two Souls This trailer really impressed me. The game just looks really cool and I can't put my finger on exactly what I like about it so much. Colour me intersted. I think I'll have to go and play Heavy Rain now.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFxAJ3eaaC8&feature=relatedWatch Dogseghhhhhh, not sure what to think of this one. Cool concept for sure, I've watched bits of the gameplay, but i'm just not overly intersted to the point where I really want to watch all the vids and trailers. I'll probably wait and check it out again closer to launch.
Resident Evil 6 Looks awesome to me, I can't wait.
A lot of the games from established franchises or developers I'm not really that excited about. I'm sure these will all be really good games, and i'm looking forward to them, but I'm just not surprised by them.
I'm hoping theres some more offbeat stuff that I'll stumble upon like Guacamolee and ZenoClash, stuff that I wasn't expecting and looks really different. Again, I'm not doing the 'man mainstream gaming sucks!' bit, but just that I already KNOW what Halo 4 is going to be, and AC3 is going to be etc. I want to see some more 'What the fuck is this?' games.
Anyway, tl:dr:
RE6, Beyond: Two Souls are the two big 'blockbuster' titles that really wowed me the most. Zeno Clash 2 was the biggest surprise. Guacamolee looks cool. Hope there's more games that i've missed so far.
