Nexus 4: 300 dollars NO CONTRACT?
« on: October 29, 2012, 04:49:02 pm »
I haven't owned a Nexus device. Basically google will sell the 4th version of their Nexus phone on their website for 300 dollars (8gb) and 350 (16gb). GSM version.

Problem? No 4G, since there needs to be a contract for that and no CDMA so no Sprint.

FFS! T-Mobile is a retail partner, if you have them.

Just saying, I hope more companies do this. I hate contracts!

Yeah, that's a great deal.

Almost makes me want to switch from virgin mobile to tmobile :P and then you remember that Tmobile costs like 20 dollars more.. and has a cap, but might be worth it for that phone sometime in the future, I still need to get the money worth out of my current phone though.

Nexus 7 on the other hand is looking really good, i want one! 16GB for $200 is crazy... 32GB for $250

Here in Portugal contract-binded phones are a recent thing. It started with the iPhone 3G cause it was mad expensive.

Anyway, don't get an Android. Shit sux yo. Windows Phone is the best smartphone phone.

T-Mobile has a 30 dollar a month plan. 100 minutes, unlimited texts and data (5gb full speed, after that you're throttled)

Its a Walmart and Web only plan: http://instoresnow.walmart.com/tmobile.aspx?wmlspartner=lw9MynSeamY&sourceid=36388827142886607459&tabID=MonthlyB&adid=1500000000000038119440&veh=eml&veh=aff

Yes, has 4G too.

Hmmm! interesting, I'll have to keep that in mind, for now though, i'm good with my current phone. getting a tablet will allow me to do what i can't do on my phone, plus on a bigger screen! So a nexus 7 would be good for the time being. I'm actually quite interested in drawing on the nexus 7. I actually downloaded a markers app for my phone and its fun to draw with my finger, i bet it's even better on a tablet when using a stylus.

lots of neat stuff done on tablets looking at youtube ;P obviously i can't do good as most of those, but it would still be a cool way to practice.

lol it's too bad Apple made ipad mini so expensive :P i really wanted to get an iOS device cause SEGA doesn't put all of their games on android, but... ipad mini is just too much...

T-Mobile being stupid with their version of the Nexus 4, so whatever you guys do, don't buy it through them!

Thats if you buy it on contract for 200. I suggest users just pay the extra 150 dollars upfront and go unlocked.
