I saw the movie Repo Men. Wow. I love 'near future' movies that have some morality or deals with it and this one did a great job. The twist in the end was also unexpected.

There is a few things that make no sense, like they REPO organs, I get it. But they are man made, can't they "make them stop working" via remote? I mean, that way they do not run away and have to send paid men that might get hurt to recover? Just makes more sense.

Also had a fight scene in the end that reminded me a ton of OldBoy. Hammer? Yes.

Watched Shutter island last night, good film... some weird inaccuracies in it... I hope they were intentional..

Saw Invictus with my dad last week.

Amazing movie, one of Clint Eastwood's best.

A great story, factual(well not completely, some things were a little toned down) and a great performance from Morgan Freeman.
He played Mandela so flawlessly and he didn't seem like he was trying at all.
Matt Damon was meh.

I watched the Black Cauldron for the first time the other day.  I think it's the only main Disney animated feature that I hadn't seen yet.
It was an ok movie, but it kinda seemed like it was done by Don Bluth's "B" team instead of the same studio that cranked out The Rescuers Down Under, and The Jungle Book.  It had its moments though, and the whole thing reminded me a lot of Ralph Bakshi's Wizards.

Funny how the one Disney film MEANT to be a trilogy fails at being completed, yet nearly every other Disney film gets a sequel.

I watched Taxi Driver in HD via NetFlix streaming. Fucked me up for two days straight.

Ah man, I ain't seen Taxi Driver in years and years.

I just watched Casino again yesterday for hte first time in ages. Awesome movie.

I was reccommended 'Fingers' by someone the other day, I'll need to hunt that down.

Did not know that... interesting.  That dog/person/monkey thing kinda creeped me out though.
As for Malkovich, too insane not to be great :)

Saw Law Abiding Citizen tonight.

It's an interesting crime thriller, Gerald Buttler does a great early dramatic performance then just goes into a "Dr. Evil" routine through most the film, to the point where the movie tries to be comical about it(though it was mostly unintended laughs). But Jaime Foxx was vey bland to be honest.

As for movies I have seen recently... Not really anything worth mentioning besides Disaster Movie. I am not sure how this kind of crap keeps being made, or why people keep seeing them, or why I keep watching them. Not only are they not funny, they are just outright a waste of time. The sad part is I saw at least one movie that was way worse than this.  :cry:

I expected insane Mel Gibson to go insane and kill a ton of people. There are times where he does do cool stuff, but most of the film its questions and walking around finding answers, us, the viewer already pieced together like an 30 minutes before he does.

The movie does have a realistic take on violence, which is good, because that is how it should be in movies. Shooting someone is not like 1920's movies, it should be shocking because the act is shocking.

Though the movie makes no sense.... [spoiler:363gyngf]HOw can this big company, backed up by the US government, not just shoot Mel Gibson in the face real fast? Why do they possibly let him live and then later in the movie capture him alive? They say its cuz "It would be weird that he is investigating the death of his daughter with the company then he is found dead. But THE FUCKING COMPANY basically controls everything, why not just make up a story?[/spoiler:363gyngf]

Just got back from Kick-Ass. Was better than I was expecting, pretty cool movie (although it still had a moment where a girl kicks a dude and sends him flying away, which I think looks retarded even in a movie like this).

The fact that it was packed with violence and swearing and absurd stuff gives me hope that something like 'The Boys' or 'Preacher' will get a faithful adaption.
