Relic Entertainment, a wholly owned studio of SEGA, is the award winning RTS developer of Homeworld, Dawn of War and Company of Heroes, among other games. If you love games, enjoy working collaboratively with smart, creative people, and have diverse personal interests outside of work – you’ll enjoy our culture.

Ramp up and perform due diligence on an existing live MMO project in development in Japan, embedded with the live team
Gain full understanding of the game and code architecture, content authoring pipelines, build and deployment process, engineering process, and current code status

What you should have

5+ years’ engineering experience from PC client/server based MMO development

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Guess we know who is localizing PSO2. :V

I'd be thrilled if Relic was translating PSO2 for western release :D

For an MMO more would need to be done than just translating when it comes to a western release. Like servers, which is why it's a good thing that this job posting is for Server Engineer. :V

Strange that they got Relic to do it in place of someone like Atlus.

Relic was working on an MMO (which was never released) while they were under THQ, so they have more experience in that field than Atlus.

Yea I just found that out when I searched after this post.(Old gamespot article)

Strange that the MMO was never really mentioned in any of their descriptions(as far as I found).

Kind of sad how SEGA of America promised this game to westerners for 2013 and said NOTHING about the progress of the game's localisation stages throughout.

Happy to see it's being done by Relic...but it's so annoying to know that SEGA of America said nothing about it and rather leave their PSO fans in the lurch.

SEGAC indeed in this case.
Big fan of Claymore, Miria in particular.

Currently playing Yakuza 0.
