Yes, we still have a forum.
New owners Sega are to publish a Persona game for the for the first time in the UK, starting with the franchise’s beat ‘em-up sequel.Fighting game sequel Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will be published by Sega this November, on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.There’s no specific date yet, but this will mark the first time Sega has published a Persona game since purchasing publisher-developer Atlus last year. The original Persona 4 Arena took nearly two years to be released in UK, and because Atlus has no European offices was only available here via local publisher PQube. It was an excellent game though (our review is here) and one of the best new 2D fighters of the modern era. Even if the idea of turning Japanese role-player Persona into a beat ‘em-up does seem a bit odd. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax – will Persona 5 also be published by Sega? The sequel also features the combined casts of Persona 3 and 4, including new playable characters Junepi Iori, Yukari Takeba, and Rise Kujikawa. All characters will have their own story mode and Ultimax will introduce a new Shadow type form for most of them – a more skill-based variant for more technical players. The wider issue here though is whether Sega Europe will now publish all Atlus games by default, but it doesn’t seem to be that simple.Atlus USA still seem to be calling a lot of the shots and the official line we have from Sega UK is that, ‘We are pleased to be bringing Persona 4 Arena Ultimax to Europe, but but this does not currently reflect a long term publishing deal between Sega Europe and Atlus USA’.Even so, you’d assume that the keenly anticipated Persona 5 is a lock, as it’s now coming to the PlayStation 4 and is by far Atlus’ biggest franchise. However, Persona Q on 3DS is already scheduled to be published by NISA in Europe (on November 28) so you could still see Atlus’ more niche titles being published by smaller companies or remaining Japanese-only.
I see...SEGA to make it Personal...and then you add the name of the game...XDXD
Hey you're talking to the guy who got shit over the topic headliner "Silicon Knights to join Sega's Crusade"..back in the day of the old Sega forums...although it was only from one person..still can't see why he got hot and bothered about it...
