So the first season of Marvel's first Netflix show, Daredevil, was put up today. Marvel's Netflix shows are meant to show the street level heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I've watched three episodes so far, and while it's hard to compare to Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD due to its difference in tone, I'd say it's the best live action Marvel show yet. It might even beat The Winter Soldier when it comes to fighting scenes, which are far more brutal in this than any other movie or show set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The show has a TV-MA rating, meaning that there's plenty more bone breaking and blood here. Not that nudity and swearing gets much worse than PG-13, but when it comes to violence it seems to manage to up itself when it comes to gore each episode. It's no Hannibal or Walking Dead(which are too gross for me), but it's still pretty dark and brutal.
Anyway, I really like this show and if you like street level superhero stuff then I recommend watching this. While it is tied to the MCU, there's no need to watch any other movies or shows set in it to watch this. Not sure how well it compares to the original comic, but on its own it's incredibly good. All of season 1 was released on Netflix earlier today, so you can watch it on there.
