I'm looking forward to the 3DS release of Miku, I'll be getting that for sure. I don't own a PS3 or Vita so I've never had a chance to play Miku outside of demo kiosks.

I'm guessing they are Rhythm games? I'm also genuinely surprised that at least four people own a Vita.

Oh that explains it actually. The kind of people who own 3DS consoles would play this sort of thing.

I already wrote about this on the front page but last year SEGA only had THREE games at their booth: Sonic Boom, Isolation and Hatsune Miku Project Diva f2nd.

So they have more games this year to actually show then last year.

Man, last years line up was pathetic... at least this year has Warhammer and Yakuza 5.

For real though George, I know I troll the comments, but I did like your write up. I still think Sega's line up is rubbish but at least you are delving into the story instead of just 'Sega isn't at E3'.

Vita as well. It's a good handheld for those who like more niche games, and the Project Diva games have generally sold better on it than on PS3. The games also generally seem to sell pretty well in Japan at least. I imagine that they also sell well enough in the west considering that they keep localizing the games now.

Unrelated, but I just kinda realized and found out that the person in charge of Sega PC/Console business, http://sega-games.co.jp/csol/company/message/, is a "Chief Technical Officer".

Also the hiring for arcade games is steady as always, while on the console/PC side not much is seen so far.

Cutting back on the arcade division relying on mainstay titles will make it profitable in no time again imo.

Keep that up and you'll be getting a warning from the mods, sunshine :) (Not really, I love you bro)

I'm just here to keep you all honest.

For real though, I even said it was a joke post but everyone STILL took it seriously...
(Tembo does look like a flash game though)

I just want to echo what everyone has been saying about George's article, it's a great write-up and glad you put it up George.  Glad to see someone actually looking at situation and making clear sense of it all.

Neither Capcom or Square Enix have released PS4-only games thus far. Well except Type-O, but yeah...

Well I could be clever go on about the likes of RE Revelations and so on (but hey its nothing more than a last gen game running on the PS4). I'll just point out Capcom and Square have up-coming games  take advantage of the next gen. They may well turn out to be crap, but at last they're working on true next gen games

What next gen games have they got to show George ? To list Yakuza 5 is just a bit laughable when it like 3 years old. SEGA line up is rubbish and they're moving away for video game development in the traditional sense, or do you class Mobile as a Video game system ?
