Yu Suzuki worked on VF mobile game in 2014?
« on: June 16, 2015, 09:32:03 pm »
So I don't know how I missed this, but I was shocked to find out that Yu Suzuki was working with SEGA on their 2014 Virtua Fighter iSO game 'Virtua Figher Fever Combo. Yu Suzuki was a director apparently.

Who knew?

I dunno if he worked on it, but we knew about it since... 2014. Mademan used it as a joke for the last 2 months about mobile.

VF Fever Combo is actually a game I'd like to try out, ditto their Pro Rasslin' management mobile phone game.

I'm sure I would hate them both, but still, I'd give them a shot, unlike Temple Run clone #281

Sonic Runners and Sonic Dash, all that is wrong with mobile games.

He is an advisor now.

Till 2009 he was one "corporate officers"  along with Nagoshi and Kataoka. Particulary in arcade development he could have a say in "hm, this looks good lets dont make it etc", but in reality he probably didn't care at this point and let Kataoka do arcade mangement. Suzuki wants to create games

Interrestingly VFCombo this was another game that Sega gave the licence "away".

Ah yes, that's true it is an advisory role... Whatever that is.

SEGA pretty much is willing to give Yu Suzuki almost whatever he wants now as long as it isn't cash or direct assets I bet.

Oh, there's a surprise.
I was really hoping VF Combo Fever would be kind of fun. Eh, I wouldn't have played it much anyway.

Also I was going to make a joke about Chain Chronicles being shit, but then remembered you literally like it more than Bayonetta so I stopped before you flew to Canada to murder me for it ( I still haven't played CC)

P.D.: Gotta love ChanChro and its endless character meetings and stories ^-^

I actually got into Sonic Runners quite a bit but some of the bugs were starting to annoy me. As an endless runner it's pretty good, although I wish it was expanded a bit more but it's still early days, we'll see what it's like a year from now. Chain Chronicle has certainly come a loooong way from how it was originally, it helps it has 2 years of content to fall back on.

Being free doesn't make something immune to criticism.

So, when was the last time did you play it? The new update improves much things and make the game more engaging.

That's one of the things that I like in F2P games with no such restrictive options (other games are really P2W with that).

Other could be the freedom to download it or not, the choice is yours.

Wikipedia says he was a director on the project and a previous VF mobile game too... Yes I know, it's Wikipedia, but I found another article saying something similar.

Last time I played it was almost a month ago I guess. I finally hit the ceiling in my abilities and others were doing 20,000,000 for their high score. Plus there was no more events so I didn't have much content to fiddle around with anymore.
