Only Mania, Origins, and Superstars.
Forces and Generations are having both, right?
Modern Sonic still has much much more games than Classic, especially if mobile ones are counted.
Of course Modern Sonic has the most games, he's been around since the concept of "era-Sonic's" were established in Generations. Before then, Modern Sonic was just Sonic, and most still regard him as Sonic. It is to be expected Modern Sonic to have the most games and I am fine with that.
But still, Classic Sonic has had quite the attention since Sonic Generations. With games such as Mania, tritagonist in Forces, Mania Plus, Origins (if you count it) and Superstars, and also his appearance in Speed Battle and Speed Simulator. It would just be nice if we had some Sonic games in style of Dreamcast-era gameplay. Closest we have had of late is Adventure Sonic and Grind Shoes Sonic skins in Sonic Speed Simulator.
People don't regard "Dreamcast Sonic" a thing, regarding him the same as Modern Sonic. Or that a Dreamcast Sonic wouldn't look different to Modern Sonic. I believe a Dreamcast Sonic can be established as an "era-Sonic"... but I believe it would be neccisary to apply changes to Dreamcast Sonic to make them slightly different from how Sonic was during the Dreamcast era.
Such changes I would make to Dreamcast Sonic would be:
- Middle-size between Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic in height.
- Darker blue than Modern Sonic. Roughly cobalt blue in colour, instead of Modern Sonic's shade of #OF45D2.
- Give him lankier arms and legs, such as slightly thinner biceps and thighs.
- His quills being slightly jagged, to resemble the mid-poly count of the Dreamcast rendering. (the rest of him can still be standard hi-poly rendered, like Classic and Modern Sonic are.)
- Voiced exclusively by Ryan Drummond. A voice different from Roger Craig Smith will make Dreamcast Sonic stand out even more from Modern Sonic by how they distinctly sound.
- While the Grind Shoes were exclusive to Sonic Adventure 2, have them the signature footwear of Dreamcast Sonic.
Nah.. SEGA's Arcade R&D was very huge back then, even Taito, Capcom, and Namco's having hard time to top them.
Besides Donkey Kong was their only big hit in arcade.
Donkey Kong Junior, Mario Bros. (the original, not the Super), Donkey Kong 3, and Punch-Out!! couldn't even close to the original Donkey Kong's success.
Still... if Nintendo ever decided to put their hat back into the arcade business... they could probably give Sega a run for their money. While it would technically be a new "Sega vs Nintendo" corporate conflict, one I wouldn't be able to see unfold myself which would suck.
They're still too short. But I guess that's the nature of Tiktok videos.
At least they put them together in YouTube videos... though I still think these animators should consider wide-screen versions for YouTube.
We don't have it here so I kinda get how you feel about this.
I'm hungry for Sonic!

Looks coo... until you notice both posters are practically the same except one has a slightly altered hue and replaces Sonic for Super Sonic.
