Sonic does started slow in the game, but we can unlock the speed level until Level 99.
They said at Speed Level 10 Sonic is already very fast.

Still feels weird for "Sonic starting off slow". I presume it's because of that red glowing corruption thing nerfing his abilities.

RIP Rieko Kodama

Rieko Kodama, also known as Phoenix Rie, has passed away.
She was a major designer for the Phantasy Star series, directing IV, and produced several games including Altered Beast, Phantasy Star IV, Alex the Kidd, Sonic 1, and Skies of Arcadia.
She will be greatly missed.

Could be. At least he's not as slow as Sonic Labyrinth where Sonic has to wear the Slow Down Boots which serves to drain Sonic from his speed and ability.

Sonic Forces - Major Changes Update!

Be prepared!
We are changing MANY things in Sonic Forces Mobile (27th of October)

Major Changes

- All Rare characters now begin with 10 starting Rings at level 1 and can be upgraded from there
- Super Rare/Special/Challenger characters (except Super Sonic/ Movie Super Sonic) now begin with 20 starting Rings at level 1 and upgrade from there
- Super Rare characters now all have one item levelled up at level 1 and upgrade from there. See the upgrades tab to view these changes.
- Super Sonic/ Movie Super Sonic level up curve adjusted to award more Rings, fewer item upgrades, and moves the Super Form upgrade to level 16. See the upgrades tab to view these changes.
- Character upgrades text descriptions have been reworked and simplified (exceptions are currently Booby Trap, Bubble Bomb, Missile Launch, Captive Light, King’s Judgement, Home Run, Reality Warp, Star Trail, and Gift Trapped).
- Rouge’s attack is now Whirlwind instead of Lightning.

Wipeout now targets 3 lanes from level 1 (was level 2)
Twin Tail Boost speed increased at low levels, reduced at high levels
Chopper Chomp speed has been increased
Cyclone Charge trap damage has been increased
Cycle Charge x2 and x3 pickup chance has been increased
Cyclone Charge duration and boost has been increased
Green Hover speed has been increased
Wrench Rush duration has been increased

These changes will be in the newsfeed and will take effect from 27th of October.

That's true. But I am hoping there will still be an in-story explanation. I felt like "this guy is faster than Sonic" broke an unwritten, golden-rule that Sonic Team have always honoured, that being "Sonic is the fastest being alive". So I think it requires a good explanation why Sonic's speed is nerf'd when it's his signature trait.

Scourge maybe a villain that allowed the power gone to her head to do wicked things but I still like her as a character. She may not get a redemption arc but I hope she finds peace with herself.

Kinda feels they were scraping the barrel with Soul Hacker, Sonic Origins and Humankind, Alien Isolation should of made the top than honourable mention. They could of promoted The House of the Dead Remake but nooo.
