Moving into Godot means you got to learn from starting point again, if it could be done with Unity why not continuing it? Unless there is something specific in your project that Godot could do that Unity couldn't.
I guess I can reinstall Unity. I mean, I dunno the direction indie developers are going now. It's less about bandwagon and more what won't bite me or break down in the long run.
But since Sonic RPBG is almost finished, I suggest prioritize on that one first. That zone maps challenge sound really cool.
It is, I just need to design how the "skill sheets" will be laid out.
You can choose from three characters to play as. mobian, robot and zeti. A skill sheet is provided with your choice.
Then you choose two skill sheets. (Mobians have a skill called "Mutation" which allows for a third skill sheet. I might nerf this for two maximum skill sheets.)
There are many Skill Sheets to choose from, each skill sheets consist of nine skills, sort of like a skill tree.
the nine skills are divided by three skills per three tiers.
The game master may give all the players a set number of
Chaos Orbs or "Exp tokens" to allow players to choose skills to use. However, Tier 2 requires two of Tier 1 skills to be unlocked and Tier 3 requires five of the above skills to be unlocked. Some skills can even be upgraded with an additional Chaos Orb.
I dunno if you played TTRPGs before, but you're probably wondering "What about Levels or Health Points?", well the beauty of this game is none of that matters. Your player's character derives over how well you use your stats and skills and gold rings serve as both currency and health in this game (similar to
Tingle's Rupeeland, a game where rupees are both currency and health.)
