The 2 zombies had to be remade for this stage to share palettes with other things. The red zombie was easy. The Green one was fully remade to use Ricks palette. Luckily the birds used Ricks palette in the arcade (or very close) so that was done next. The hanging guys needed no changes - nor did their barf.
Playing around with the rain here as well. Trying to get it more like the arcade but I can make as much of it as the arcade without slowing the game down.
Foreground tree is a sprite - it used less tiles that way. A lot of the art was changed for this level to take advantage of the Genesis palette as well as a parallax scroll in the distance. Pyron fixed the ground palette here as well I was really un happy with what I had HAHA!
The music here is a WIP to see how it's going to feel in the level - note it's the arcade music not level 1 repeated like in the PCE version.
Tomorrow - Creeping flesh monster and dogs. After that the shot gun and the bridge monster that yanks you down into the water level. Water level only needs the tiles dumped and recolored - then the attack pattern for existing enemies dropped in. That one will be easy.
Then Biggy Man which I'm really excited to get to! I'll load the palette on the edge of the trees (I left the last hanging man tree out of from the arcade version so I can quickly flip the enemy palette over to Biggy Man and load him in for the fight.
