Sonic Speed Simulator Adds Auto-Run And Some Fans Hate It

There are some downsides to Auto Run. For starters, your character will top out at around 130 mph or so, which isn't very fast.
If you want to turn your speed simulator into an idle game, then Auto Run is a great new feature.
But Sonic's catchphrase is "gotta go fast" for a reason.
Sonic fans aren't particularly interested in "idle," and they're expressing their displeasure on Twitter.

I too feel disappointed about this. I thought it was going to be something like Sonic Dash or Secret Rings... but no, you just run along a rail at around 120mph. Handy when you need to go to the toilet I guess but not something I would hype about.

And the fact that badniks are still brain-dead fodder is an embarrassment to me.

It's like, clearly a lot of effort was put into SSSR. And whenever they read through my suggestions or not they seem to have taken some of my advice, such as the Adventure Event consisting of various objectives other than collecting stuff. Granted the Android Shadow Showdown and the Hologram Havoc events are repeated but likely to allow some new players to catch up. Having multiple ongoing events also offer some variety.

But I've given up "evolving" chao. Just a hassle to me and my inventory space is very limited.

But at the same time I worry the game will fall back to it's faults it had on SSS. This is suppose to be a new slate of sorts, they should take the time to refine what they had before.

Depended on the goal. If it's money, mobile games mindset made more money than console games.
Project Sekai / Hatsune Miku Colorful Stage and Genshin Impact are the best examples.
