eBay question for y'all:
I bought a DVD on ebay the seller swore up and down in his listing that he is 100% legit, no bootlegs and had 100% ratings. So I bought the DVD. Just got it today and it is a clear bootleg. Colors are off, everything looks scanned, discs are poorly printed, colors are missing from the outer sleeve that legit copies have. Biggest sign: it's region free yet is labeled region 1. It's a Simpsons DVD so I doubt it would ever be region free.
I contacted the seller and he was acting oblivious, apologized but said he does not sell bootlegs. I don't believe him as he clearly sells multiple copies of these things, claiming they are "used and in near mint condition". They weren't used, they were new but opened as they were never sealed to begin with. He offered me to send the DVD back for a refund. Thing is the set cost $15, and return shipping is a half hour at the post office and $5 postage. Am I better off simply keeping it and reporting the guy? Or should I return it and then report it?
