I accepted a bet to eat two ghost peppers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naga_Jolokia_pepper) earlier this year. To quote wikipedia, "In 2007, Guinness World Records certified the Naga Jolokia as the world's hottest chili pepper, 400 times hotter than Tabasco sauce."  I didn't know this at the time.

I'm also a huge fan of spicy food, but this was no fun.  Just really painful burning, and an intense stabbing feeling in my stomach that reduced me to a fetal position several times later on that day.
Let's just say when it came to "Round 2", it came out black.  For 2 days.....

As far as dealing with "second stage pain", the only advice I can give is to use a warm, moist cloth after post dump, and the pain will go away in a couple days.

Holy cow... and I thought those things were lethal when eaten, too. @_@ At least you have an amazing accomplishment you can always tell others about.

*I wonder if Soup is talking about the red nagas*

Yeap, it's those red nagas.

Got to love them with my curry. At least you now know that you can suffer a naga head on, and knowing is half the battle!

What did you get for the bet?

Only $10. It also happened in the middle of a day of classes at College.
I no longer have anything to prove when it comes to spicy food tolerance.

The best part about this picture is how confidently he's wearing that fanny pack.

^There is something about Wrestlers and fanny packs (Or 'Bum Bags' as we call them here). They seem to be the only people apart from old tourists who wear them often.

I used to wear a fanny pack when I was a kid. It was "cool" here back in the 90's.

I've got a fanny pack built for holding the original gameboy, but I don't think I ever wore it around my waist. Just used it to get the gameboy and games from place to place.

Just came back from a four day vacation in Dublin, in the land of the emerald aisle.

In short, Dublin city centre looks like the largest shopping mall in the world, the full irish breakfast was kickass, Temple Bar Pub was fun, the Guiness Factory is also a pretty sight. Had fun talking to some norwegian girls on my last day there.

The only downside: Only fast food restaurants are cheap and everything and I mean everything closes at 6 pm sharp, hostel service was a downer, a drunken guy smeared my face with sallad dressing and we got stuck in the airport this morning for about a hour and a half due to french air traffic restrictions.

My family's favorite part of our old Disney World home videos is seeing me, as a little kid, wearing a giant adult-sized fanny pack all over the park. Good times, I swear...
