When a computer gets like that I think it would be a good idea to save whatever you can to disc, then just go scorched earth on the HDD. Do a complete Re-format and start over.

I've got all the cerfiications I need from outside of school, so I just have to apply to a police service. The job interviews are pretty wild (2-5hrs), so I want to make sure I'm really well prepared for that before I put the application in.
