Last night I used my brand new passport, and visited the United States last night for the first time in about 4 years. It was a pretty short trip, but we hit up the sites that would be open between 6:30 and 10pm. KMart had a few good deals, and we discovered a shop with a decent amount of comics from the late 80's/early 90's. I'll make sure to bring a list of the X-Men/X-Factor issues I'm looking for next time. It was a bit odd when the owner of the shop lit up a cigarette in the middle of the store. Smoking indoors has been against the law here for so long that it just seems really bizarre to see it happen.
We grabbed dinner at a place called the Country Kitchen. Some of the differences between eating in Canada were pretty entertiaining. The booths have a lot more space between the seat and the table in Michigan. I got the healthiest thing on the menu (it was called the "skinny salmon"), but everything was pretty loaded with salt with lots of butter on the side.
It was a pretty fun trip overall though
