I guess you already know that SEGA Heroes servers would be shut down on May 21st.
Albert Reed, one of the Demiurge's founder, has bought the studio back from SEGA,
which owned it since 2015.
Am I mad? You bet I am. But we all know that every good thing must come to an end.
Dremagen is finally defeated. Farewell Sega Heroes.

Read the article here by George for more information about the closing :

Btw my favorite Sega Heroes character is Death Adder. What's yours?

Dissapointed we never had a PC release. Demiurge is on steam after all.

It's probably planned before, but it's too late now.
Too bad since Marvel Puzzle Quest (other mobile games developed by Demiurge)
managed to have its console and PC releases.

This is what I don't like about the "Mobile-era", somethings that fledged in 20'00, got off around '10 and now websites and modern services are slowly catering for mobile operating systems over PC.
Like, is it really too hard to import a game about matching gems for home computer release? Heck sake Sega Heroes gameplay is based after Bejeweled.

It's not hard but they know it won't make the same profit as mobile version, so they won't bother.
Mobile is the future after all.
Everything is going mobile,
from telephone, ms office, ordering food or taxi, meeting, and of course video games too.
Even Bejeweled goes mobile.

SEGA Heroes was a great success,
$7 million from 4.1 million installs in sixteen months

Quote
Next to Sonic Dash, Sega Heroes' puzzle RPG quest adventure seemed to be the closest the brand has gone to embracing the traditional mobile structure.
$7 million from 4.1 million installs in sixteen months was a great success,
yet the ending of its partnership with Demiurge stopped the game in its tracks much earlier than anticipated.

"We want ToeJam & Earl to appear in as many games as possible, but sometimes it doesn't always work out.
Here's some old artwork from a project that wasn't finalized.
Glad we get to share this with y'all cuz this is the funkiest our homies have looked in years!"
