Somehow they are looking more like Shining series characters than Phantasy Star Online characters...

Yeah I know the point of PSO2 is to look sci-fi anime, but I do believe that the fact it's obviously 3D rendered over 2D anime-like does sort of compliment what it's going for. It especially makes it less noticeable to other 3D anime games out there that use celshading to make it look cartoon like. Genshin Impact comes to mind.

PSO2 will be removed from the NGS data and released as separate DLC download on the June 7th

Following the update on 6/7/2023 (Wed) (GMT+7), we plan to release the data for PSO2 as a separate DLC (free of charge) for Xbox One, the MS Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store versions of NGS.

The data for PSO2 will no longer be included in the main data for NGS after this update.
Those who wish to play in PSO2 Blocks or play certain Music Discs that require data from PSO2, please download the DLC from your respective platform's store.
*This also applies to players who had been playing NGS prior to the update on 6/7/2023 (Wed) (GMT+7).

But the files are separated, probably to make the main files' sizes not too big.
