Does the TV Adapter still works these days? All I know is that you can use it to play today consoles on your Game Gear.

Imagine, an XBox One game on the Game Gear!

Yep. A little work to do but it's still capable to do so.

The Game Gear was outrageous for it's time... with it's only set back being it's battery life of 3-5 hours per 6 AAs. Imagine if the Game Gear was re-released today with modern tech instead of those Micro things.

Well.. For me Game Boy Advance was Game Gear 2.
Long lasting lithium battery,
with port/likeliness of Dreamcast games (instead of Master System & Mega Drive) :
Crazy Taxi, Chuchu Rocket, Sonic Battle, Space Channel 5, and Jet Set Radio.
Not to mention Super Monkey Ball Jr, Shining Force, Gunstar Super Heroes, and Sonic Advance Trilogy.

GBA did have good games. Pity Nintendo perfected the Game Gear over Sega. Imagine if the GBA was made by Sega? Though I doubt they would call it the "Game Gear Advance".

Depended on the size of SEGA's GBA
May be they would called it "Game Gear Mini"
and later they'd release smaller version and called it "Game Gear Micro"
