What games you want VR'd?
« on: December 02, 2019, 04:13:44 am »
With VR gaming becoming more commercial and accessible to today's gamers, what Sega (and perhaps other) games would you like to see re-release to have a VR mode?

Panzer Dragoon- The gameplay is usually a third-person camera that turns 90° with the shoulder buttons while the D-pad/analogue is used for aiming and shooting. I figured, what if there was a VR mode where the camera is locked onto the first-person view of the rider themselves and that you use head-motion to freely look around and such to shoot enemies. With the Nintendo Switch remake on the way I hope with the Labo VR kit or if Nintendo release a VR device for the Switch it would include such mode.
Rise of Nightmares- This game was made ahead of it's time. The game was made for the Kinect which is the source of the heavy criticism from this game but the developers were obviously passionate for what they pushed to do with the Kinect. I believe if the developers stalled the development to polish it and release it for VR gaming it would of been more praised. The very least it would be nice if this game had a re-release with a VR mode given most of the connect controls would port will to the VR.
Illbleed- Preferably a remake or a sequel. The game is mostly third-person perspective but the Horror Monitor usually switches to first-person view when used and the jumpscares usually lock the camera to a first-person perspective. I'd say make the game FPV and combat like Rise of Nightmares. It would be even cooler if the game comes with a HRM so that such a game could adjust the fear-factor by your heartrate.
All games for the Sega 3-D glasses- Never played 'em but there was around 8 of them so enough for a compilation. May wanna get Sega AGES to get on that.

Space Harrier since it's one of my favorite game.
It doesn't have to be in realistic graphic.
Even if it's stay the same I'd still be happy.
3D Space Harrier was so good on 3DS,
so it'd be at least as that good if it in VR.

There might be a way for something like that to be possible but I am not sure.
There is the emulator called Dolphin Emulator which plays GameCube, Wii and Virtual Console games in 1080 HD quality. Two compatible games are the arcade and Master System versions of Space Harrier.
There is also this spin-off or side-project emulator called Dolphin VR which allows you to play GameCube, Wii and Virtual Console games with all the games cameras modded for virtual reality use. For example theres YouTube videos of Sonic Riders where the VR players can look around where the camera is normally restricted.

I "might" get an Oculus Rift S by the end of the week and if I do I "might" get Dolphin VR (Sonic storybook games are also Sega games I'd like to see VR'd) but I don't know how quality Dolphin VR is to Sega games.
