Legal issues always made the game feels missing compared to the original.
Even for a simple game like Frogger.
I was dissapointed when they remove the simple opening theme since it was really iconic to me.

They don't even changed it like Sonic 3 in Sonic Origins.
They just straight muted it.

Times like this, I think Ys Net are better off collaborating with Ryo Ga Gotoku Studio to make Shenmue Games. Like A Dragon gameplay does feel heavily inspired by Shenmue after all.

2026 is the release year according to the fake trailer, lol.
Seven years after Shenmue III.

Ryo Hazuki is going to be an old man by the time he has that showdown with Lan Di.

Sequel.

I hope they release a compilation.

So, he means like, he wanted the fighting to look realistic, and the punches and kickes to look weighted, that rely on flashy effects and such?

I think what he means by realistic is you won't get to do tons or 99 hits combo.



Three or five punches and kicks should've enough to make opponent falls,
Flashy sounds or effects are just to let us know that our punch/kick are in (not missing/avoided).

It still weird not seeing Sega-representation in a Shenmue game.

That's fair. They look like good choices.

The things of "classic" gameplay like these are there are no in-depth stories or exploration mode so I could play it less than one hour when I want to.
Most of new games are too time-consuming.

Clair Expedition 33 for example ...after SPOILER we found out the final boss is not a real final boss and the game turned out has just started. SPOILER ENDED.
Sure, the story and exploration aspects are good, could make us teary and touched, but I can find those too in other mediums (books, movies).



Even when playing Shinobi I kinda thought "Aren't these stages are too long?" and "When do I get to unlovk the arcade mode sothat I don't have to collect these things".
Exploration and stories in video games... things that I used to love when I was younger but now I just want something to go straight to just play them for a moment and then back to the prime life activities.

Acquiring Sega rights would be costly so most likely YS net won't do it to minimize the budget.

So the consequences are for content creators? Not for users who only watch videos?

The only consequence I see for those who only watch videos, is they may find a harder time finding more specific the videos they want to watch. But if the viewer knows the name of the video or the channel, they will have an easier time finding it.
