Every country has their silly things to ban. Even your country treated childhood prank of ringing a doorbell then running away and shaking a rug in the street as criminal offenses under the 1839 Metropolitan Police Act.
True. I'm reminded of the Salmon Act of 1986. I wouldn't be surprised if the term "fishy" originated from that.

Yeah, for example: Genshin Impact. But that game has insane budget so it's depended on the budget too.
Is it true that during the TGA that year, they offered a bonus to their players if they won?

I was like that too until I paid the price heavily. I've learned to control my mind since then and it took years.
How did you start?

The only "way" I found rather recently was something called "therapeutic surrendering", though it is still difficult for me to practice.

It's basically just accepting I can't silence the unwanted thoughts and just have to put up with them until I get over it.

May be because they kinda won the war.
Most American kids couldn't locate other countries in the maps though.
They don't even know that Bali island is part of Indonesia.
Most Americans can't locate other countries on the map, but can point to the ones they've beaten in World War 2.

They didn't meet the US strict TV Show guidelines so they couldn't be ported in TV (but rental VHS version existed though the interest were low).
It's not just happened with imported shows though, even US series like COPS, Thundarr the Barbarian, and Pirates of Dark Water had to changed and toned down to the point that it loses the charm.
Still they at least allowed "Ninja" theme, unlike UK, who changed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles.
I forgot about TMHT, but yeah, I guess you're right. Funny how censorship changes over time.

“Interrupting gameplay for visual flair is unacceptable in a fighting game.”
New VIRTUA FIGTHER Project producer talks about the title’s pursuit of “reality, not realism”

So, he means like, he wanted the fighting to look realistic, and the punches and kickes to look weighted, that rely on flashy effects and such?

I've played most games that I wanna play on SEGA consoles so right now my bucket list are homebrew games (new games but made for SEGA consoles) like Earthion (SEGA Mega Drive), Frontier Force (SEGA Master System), or Gladmort (Dreamcast)

That's fair. They look like good choices.

“Interrupting gameplay for visual flair is unacceptable in a fighting game.”
New VIRTUA FIGTHER Project producer talks about the title’s pursuit of “reality, not realism”

Quote
—When taking on the project, what did you identify as the “core” of the Virtua Fighter franchise that absolutely needed to be preserved in the new installment?

Yamada:
If I had to put it into words, it would be “reality.” I think most people would struggle to give a simple answer when asked to define what makes Virtua Fighter good. With 2D fighting games like Capcom’s Street Fighter series, it’s easier to grasp their defining characteristics, and I get the impression that their core features have remained largely consistent throughout new entries – they’ve evolved while cherishing their foundations.
But the essence of Virtua Fighter is harder to sum up in one sentence. That means there are many different aspects we must preserve in order to clearly define what kind of game it is. If I had to describe all those elements in one word, it would be “reality.” Not “realism,” but reality.
New Virtua Fighter
If we were to simply incorporate the realistic movements of actual martial arts, we’d just end up making “a game about that martial art.” For us, the priority is to make something fun, something that feels good, and then, on top of that, we want it to feel real.

—So it’s a matter of balancing game-like qualities with real-world believability?

Yamada:
Exactly. I believe “reality” lies in balancing events that don’t normally happen with those that feel like they could happen precisely because humans are involved. Drawing that line and translating it into the game is challenging, but it’s a core element of Virtua Fighter.
Also, Virtua Fighter has always been an innovator, a title that has been at the forefront of new things. Because of that, it doesn’t resemble much else; which allows it to occupy a truly unique position. I think that sense of uniqueness is also ...
