Lord of the Rings Online: I think I'm loosing my life again!
« on: January 13, 2011, 09:15:11 pm »
Alright, so every so often I find myself drifting into a new MMORPG, last year it was Wow, for about two months before I literally set the sucker on fire for it being to crappy and costing me way to much.

Now I recently upgraded my Internet to...well I'm not sure how fast, I download at around 800kbps on average, so I decided to download the F2P (free to play) Lord of the Rings Online.

Now. I'm a huge fan of LOTR, I own all the books (Including first editions I got from my grandfather when I was a little lad). All the console games (and PC games now since this was downloaded).

So, I'm packing my Dreamcast away until my order comes in, which is next week.

So to those who this may concern.

I am alive, if I'm not as active, it means I got addicted to this game, it's installing now while I type this.

Wish me luck through this, and Soup.. If I die...
I will leave you my first born child only cause your the closest.

SO! Hopefully i'll be back on tomorrow to post something ridiculous or Dreamcast related.
IF NOT!
I'll be back next week sometime when I decide to post about how insane it is to have a rumble pack and my new video games. woohooo!

One Console to Rule them all!
It's thinking...

I salute you on your MMO adventure, and will help out a fellow countryman/SEGAfan in need should it come to that.

I personally have very little MMO experience. I got PSO online for a bit when my Dreamcast broadband adapter showed up, but didn't manage to accomplish much.
The concept of a game that doesn't really end bothers me a bit on some level. I feel compelled to beat games, in order to move onto others, but have little desire to start something that would require that much of a time commitment. There's also the whole feeling compelled to play it thing (in the case of subscription based games).
DC Universe seems interesting, but I'm a bit hesitant because of these reasons.

I have this game, trying to get into it.

Maybe you can help. When you get a quest, I don't know how the hell to find where to go. I don't see an arrow on the map or a red dot on the compass.

Am I crazy?

What server do you play?

My friend is now going to start playing it. Funny, he is going to play it on another friends laptop at his house. The whining of him being there all day is going to be epic.

Dwarrowdelf is where I started. I'm still in the start, a bit of a 'wtf do I do' sort of thing.
