Daisenryaku series that Sega did ports of for a long time (since the Mega Drive).However they would create their own WW2 strategy game, with ADVANCED WORLD WAR: THE LAST MILLENIUM (what a title).
The game comes from the same lineage as Sakura Wars with the same developers, but is basicilly the polar opposite of that series. The director of it would also become one of the director for Skies of Arcadia.
The strategy and war game history is not only strong with Sega West, but seemingly Sega Japan as well.
