That's a different target market. People who aren't fans won't visit the shop (hell, even not all fans visit the shop) but when they are doomscrolling, they might found some cute Sonifure plushies video and just one click to bring them home, no need to visit the shop.
I guess so. It just seems Sonifure has a limited marketing on purpose. Which is odd given I figured an expanded market means more customers.
Because it's licensed it's taking more time.
All things have to be approved first by license holders.
So they need more time for licencing the Dreamcast controllers?
Egyptian mummies sound interesting. But werehog again? I thought fans hate the werehog aspect of Sonic Unleashed.
They did... but seem to like him as a character. Given Storybook games gave gameplay different from mainline games, perhaps werehog gameplay can be reworked to fit it in?

I mean, a Storybook game with classic monsters, makes sense to have Sonic turn into a monster? Just as he was regarded Aladdin in S&tSR and Arthur in S&tBK, I figure his S&tBM counterpart would be Wolfman.

Tails = Victor Frankenstein
Knuckles = Monster Hunter (Gabriel Van Helsing)
Blaze = The Mummy
Shadow = Dracula
Rouge = Carmilla

Not always. Getting focus and deep engagement to limited customers (who really spent their money on the brand of course) is also a good strategy for controlled cost and growth cap. Unfamiliarity with broader needs can dilute brand focus or strain operations.

Approval, not licensing, the licensing thing is already settled. Also bug test, compability test, and yeah ... chip shortage thing.

Well, it is really interesting if they're all turning into monsters, not just Sonic.

So, keeping Sonifure as a Japanese TikTok brand would be more beneficial oover an international YouTube brand?

Oh yeah... AI bubble. But while it feels like I am the only customer giving a damn about Retro-Bit's Sega Collab, surely I'm not the only one waiting.

Well, not turning into monsters, just taking up roles of characters from various horror stories. Kind of like how Sonic's friends look like they were just cosplaying characters in other storybook games, but were entirely committed to the role. Perhaps Dracula (Shadow), Carmilla (Rouge) and Blaze (Mummy) have powers unique to their roles, but still look like Sonic's friends.

All Sonic Storybook games have a "semi-auto rail" gameplay for Sonic. Given the Classic Monster theme of SONIC 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝕭𝖑𝖔𝖔𝖉 𝕸𝖔𝖔𝖓 it just makes sense to shoehorn Sonic's werehog form in this game. Just despite having this idea for years, I never settled what kind of gameplay would be best for Werehog stages that incorporate the flow of Sonic's standard stages.

Maybe something like Dynamite Deka gameplay where it's mostly beat 'em up with micro-cutscenes between areas?

Yes, because the cost of promoting Tiktok video just in Japan is less compared to promoting it in many other countries all at once.

There are others of course but I guess they're just that patient.

Werehog does indeed feel fitting for a beat em up game.
I don't think there are many Sonic beat em up fan games.
The last time I played it is a hack where we could play Sonic in Streets of Rage 3.

Yes, because the cost of promoting Tiktok video just in Japan is less compared to promoting it in many other countries all at once.
I see, so spending more money on a wider net may catch more fish than a small TikTok one, but it would still be costly and not catch as many fish as it be worth it, while spending money on a cheap, small net, will still catch a decent amount of fish to make up for the small net.
There are others of course but I guess they're just that patient.

Werehog does indeed feel fitting for a beat em up game.
I don't think there are many Sonic beat em up fan games.

Sonic and the Black Knight does prove combat can work in Sonic Storybook games.
