Winter Wonfes 2016 - Feb. 7th
« on: February 04, 2016, 09:52:20 pm »
It's that time of year again, and even though it hasn't even officially started, Wonfes is giving the goods. From the SST_V twitter, we've got...
Vulcanlog's Beat prototype, now showing off the range of articulation it has, another look at the Akira Yuki Figma coming out later this year, a new Space Harrier figure, and a familiar looking boss from Altered Beast.

Lots of cool stuff and the event hasn't even really started. Wonder what other surprises we'll be in for this weekend, as well as updates on figures revealed during Summer Wonfes. Check that Twitter link for more shots of the figures they're teasing.

Had no idea they were making a Beat figure, looks fantastic as does the Space Harrier one, though I'm hoping we see a prototype of the Figma Majima figure.

Wish granted.

Alright, unless there are any late announcements, here's all the stuff I've seen announced/revealed today or very recently:

Some PSO2 prize figures

Jack Frost:

Gwendolyn from Atlus's Odin Sphere:

Sakura Shinguji:

A really ugly Selvaria statue:

and some of the usual Mikus:

and assuming we can count it, since Magic Knight Rayearth was the last US Saturn game and Rieko Kodama of Phantasy Star fame directed it, a prototype for Hikaru:

Good amount of new SEGA stuff to look forward to. Though I'm really bothered that Phantasy Star still can't get some real knockout stuff for either it's 25th Anniversary or the 15th Anniversary of the Online series... The Valkyria turnout was pretty lame too for a game having a remaster in a few months. Oh well.

No updates on Persona 3 main character or 7th Dragon Samurai, sadly. =[

Edit: A-ha! Is this our chance? Goodsmile Company has opened a poll for fans to request a character/person to become a Nendoroid for the 10th Anniversary of the figure series. I just voted for Red Ring Rico and definitely used up every character I could to explain why. Send in your own submission here: https://event.goodsmile.info/nendoro10thanniv/en/survey/

Kind of unfair on how Nintendo gets so many figs and you rarely see any SEGA ones...

Either way, I voted for Blaze Fielding from Streets of Rage. (hopefully from the first game)

No announcements of SEGA Nendos? Saw the Selvaria and Miku figmas?
Big fan of Claymore, Miria in particular.

Currently playing Yakuza 0.

Man, I WISH there was a Selvaria figma. There's tons of Miku ones if you're interested in those though.

a Selvaria figure that had the proportions of VC1 would be great...later renditions by RAITA look terrible.

Though I went with Alis Landale on the poll.  Either her, Selvaria, or Blaze would be welcomed...heck make another SEGA girls toy line but through figma this time instead of just mini-figures.

Yeah, I only went with Rico because she practically already has a Nendo design in her PSO2 mag. Alis would be even better though, and having a GOOD figure of Selvaria that's not otaku bait? Man, that's a dream. Since it's not a popularity contest, I'm not really sure what the official stance is on multiple submissions... If I could I'd definitely ask for more. Maybe they'll say more in the next few days.
