Beats me, I was playing Diehard Arcade and it sort of randomly occurred to me that I had never played Spike Out in any form and wanted to get that out of the way while I still own an Xbox 1.
Probably just nostalgia more than anything. I'm not expecting to love this game and am already expecting to be tolerant of its faults.
To the best of my knowledge I have never encountered the original Spike Out in an arcade. I wish Sega would consider it for digital release but maybe that is far fetched.
I think it is the worst series made by Nagaoshi that I can remind.
Well, as a Yakuza fan I'll play it just to see if there are any links of origin in the battle system.
