With Dreamcast SD Card Compatibility I wondered if it would be possible to play the translation from SD with the original GD running the game?

Although given it is a text based game, the entire game could be played from SD.

So is this gonna be a complete downloadable game, or is this some kind of patch that will require the original GD-ROM?  Seems a lot safer, legally, to go the latter route...

It is going to be a downloadable game almost for sure.

From the site:
"As always, we respect Sega’s copyright ownership of the Segagaga name and license. Our work is unauthorized and will cease at any time at Sega’s request."

Still, I doubt Sega will stop them. Sega has let projects like this go on without any hassle before.

I'm also not sure a VMU patch is even possible.

Yeah, VMU patch would probably be impossible as from what I've read, they have to add all the english fonts into the game, often changing sprites and such.

I see... well, this is going to be amazing.  I just wonder how far along they estimate they are.  I know with big projects, sometimes the horizon seems to keep moving further away!

I'd all but given up hope on seeing Alex Kidd's day job.  Cant wait to see this completed!  Was debating NullDC, but i think i'll just play this one outright.
