Pretty awesome they have the demo up already, I wasn't expecting it for a while.

PS3 Owners make sure to let us know what it's like!

Huge size is huge.
I always get the feeling that developers just take advantage of extra space to get lazy with optimization these days...

Regardless, I'll be downloading this soon enough.  After I delete most of my other downloads ;_;

I downloaded it last night, but I'm going to hold off on playing it until I beat Yakuza 3. I don't want any spoilers

the demo was really huge with two modes one for Story ( you play with Akiyama ) and the other showing the fighting systems for each character .

my impressions
- there is some tiny enhancements in the graphics with nice inclusion for the weather effects
- all of the new fighting systems are cool , and each of them is unique .
- story & characters seems interesting
- i felt like the direction for the cut-scenes is different than usually
- it seems that every character has his own music even in battles
- leveling system changed completely . now you can earn any moves or skills you want directly using some kind of Orbs ?
- in battles you can run to the crowd and they will runaway from you  :P
- Table Tennis mini game is big lol
- also i have noticed some slow-downs while fighting ( maybe because it's a demo )

I agree. Looks like contemporary western cinematographic elements have decided to sneak in. Not liking that aspect in early impressions.

I thought they looked a step backward from Yakuza III graphically, seemed to be more slowdown too in-game  . The demo was nice enough, but its nothing new (even the Heat moves are all the same)  , the gfx have hardly been improved and the new weather effects are rather poor - no build up and the clothing show no signs  of getting wet , no matter how long you stay outside in the rain , with no umbrella . I enjoyed the fighting , but this is a series fast running out of idea's and being run into the ground , like Sonic and Tomb Raider .

Story could be a winner though I guess

Agreed. They should have used the Hedgehog Engine.

Kazuma Kiryu is not a Hedgehog with Red Shoes, you cannot compare the two engines.

Is there an option to skip or turn off cinema?

Oh God, I hope so. So many cut-scenes full of Japanese men who apparently were raised in a pile of toxic waste. Or at least one.

Also new in Yakuza 4 is the addition of AiAi as a toy you can get from a UFO catcher in Club Sega. And cats.

The Table Tennis minigame came as a surprise. It was fun, then I did the instant score attack and it got hilarious/weird. Then her top started to fall off. Also, I think he was masturbating in the hot spring. If this game gets localized, I hope they cut this mini-game. I have no idea what the hell this has to do with being like dragons, I just want to beat people with poorly assembled bicycles.

What is wrong with you two... Half of the draw of Yakuza is the story and the querky weird mini games.
