« on: June 28, 2013, 01:27:31 pm »
Soul Saga will be coming to the PS4, PC, PS Vita, and wii u sometime next year. It just reached it's kickstarter goal for console versions really really fast after the PlayStation versions were announced! PlayStation fans must love their RPG's

it's looking pretty awesome! I'm excited to play it, JRPG's are great.

Soul Saga is a story driven RPG with environmental puzzles and turn based combat styled after Final Fantasy 10, with its own twists!

Combat

Soul Saga uses a battle initiation system similar to Chrono Trigger. Combat is initiated when you come into physical contact with a wandering enemy, or are ambushed by devious foes.

When in combat, enemies will often have slight puzzle elements to defeating them.

For example, if an enemy is using a strong steel shield to block and deflect attacks, then the player will need to use a smashing technique to break the defense.

However, if the shield is enhanced with a fire barrier then melee attackers will be greatly damaged and set on fire when approaching. To counter this, a character can use a wind or water based skill, such as Elise's water bomb, to temporarily douse the flame and allow the character with a smashing ability to break the defense.

Since the shield is made of steel, this makes the enemy susceptible to electrocution. So if one of your characters uses a lightning based skill, you will stun the enemy and have an opening to deal damage without needing to smash through the barrier or douse the flame.

If an ally is unfortunately set on fire, they will take damage over time and be stunned for the duration while they try to get the flames off of them. You can hasten their recovery by using Elise's previously mentioned water bomb to douse the flame and save your ally!

There's a whole lot more unique twists to the different ways to fight your enemies. Discovering your enemies' weaknesses for yourself will be one of the funnest parts of the game!

it still has a lot of stretch goals yet to reach, so if you want to help the game out you still can

There is an option on the side for PC / PS4.

or you can do the complicated way, get it for PC, and add 10 dollars for the PS4 version.

either way your paying the same amount
