Originally announced in 2024, Shenmue fans have been eager to have their first taste of this latest and truely stunning fangame! What is Reclaiming The Path?Reclaiming the Path is the newest game from Dreams of Saturn creator George Kitchen! Taking place across locations shown in Shenmue 2 and Shenmue 3, you follow the stories of Zongquan, Wong and Wei Zhen as they embark on their own adverture across Guilin.Starting off in the urban setting of Hong Kong, moving into the tranquil settings of Languishan and Bailu Village as well as new (and unseen) locations, this promises to be its own epic story. Presented in the old Dreamcast looks from years gone by, this will be a perfect compliment to the current Shenmue games!Before downloading, please read the release notes for some important points!Release NotesImportant bug with saving/loading.The objective at the top of the screen will reset if you load a save. Please keep track of the current objective just in case.The only location where it may not be obvious what to do is Bailu Village. So, here's the steps if you need them.1. Head to Shenhua’s House.2. Talk to Elder Yeh.3. Go to bed.4. Talk to Elder Yeh again.5. Check in on Wei Zhen.6. Find Jun in the Panda Market.7. Wood Chopping with Tao.8. Take exit near the Hermits Nest.While in Bailu, you can play some minigames in the arcade, but some small glitches will be there. Just minor things, like audio lines, or the occasional visual bug.This is a work in progress so there will be minor things that pop up. Overall, this is a pretty bug free demo compared to Dreams of Saturn.FAQ'sWill this run on a Dreamcast?No - this takes advantage of many modern tools on offer in Unity. Therefore, it cannot run on a Dreamcast.Is there a MAC version?No - due to lack of time and testers a MAC version is not avaliable.Can I use a controller?Yes - Most modern controllers will work on this game.Is this a standalone game and will it come to consoles?Yes - this is a purpose game built for PC. Unfortunately, this will not be on consoles due to licencing issues. Can I contribute financially to the project?No - as this is a fangame taking any money runs the risk of the project being closed down.
