Since it was filed a few months ago under the Sega Toys label, it makes you wonder, perhaps SEGA is planning not one, but TWO VR devices in addition to V-GADGET/3DLEDVISION? Perhaps even a device for Children?

I don't see any mention of 'V-gadget' or that V-Gadget is a VR device... You make far too many baseless assumption.

What else would "V" stand for?

"Virtual" or "Video", of course.

This mark has descriptions for similar uses of the mark "3DLEDVision" which is a prototype SEGA filed in Japan in 2014.

There's no article currently published explaining or translating its G&S, but any logic can tell you that anything with "V" next to the word Gadget, indicates with almost certainty that its related to a Video Output or Virtual Reality accessory of some sorts.

Again, "3DLEDVision" sounds like a prototype, basically a codename, my theory is that is very possible that V-Gadget could be the final projected product name for whatever 3DLEDVision is.

There's little to doubt or dispute how likely it is that they're related to each other.

V could stand for a hundred thing... It was registered at the same time as that new Valkyria trademark... So it could just as easily be a Valkyria companion app. Right now you are making assumptions, filling in gaps with guesses and presenting them as fact.

SEGA trademarks a lot of things that never come to fruition... Every few years someone hyped up on the 'new console koolaide' shows up flaunting some flimsy patent or trademark they've found. Seen it time and time again.

Rez's Trance Vibrator was a "V-Gadget" of sorts.... maybe SEGA is returning to the world of video game accessory sex toys?

That's not out of the realm of possibility.

Hell, Nintendo used to run Love Hotels back during WWII.

No, that wouldn't make any sense. If SEGA were planning a Valkryia mobile title, it STILL would be titled Valkryia, it wouldn't be abbreviated at all.

I studied Intellectual Property, its not a simple and basic as people assume and think. My younger brother is an Attorney and has friends who are both Patent and IP Attorneys.

Trademarks don't work the way you assume especially in Japan. There's plenty of Japanese marks that SEGA filed that are currently in use, you just don't know about them like "Terebina" which was filed in the Summer of 2014, that's currently in use as a Subscription based Streaming service for playing and accessing Mobile games for use exclusively with Sharp HD LED TVs(ala Wii U). Trademarks DO get used. They have multiple categories and Filing Basis(which are used to determine how they'll be used in Commerce) People think Trademarks are meaningless because they don't know how important, costly and useful they are for businesses and companies. Its a wide myth that most Trademarks don't get used. They DO get used, very few are filed a prototypes under 44e and even less get filed and cancelled before they are examined and processed. The actual percentage of those are 1.2%. Trademarks aren't free. And they aren't just a sheet of paper either. They are VERY important. In fact, pretty soon  I'll help my stepdad get one for his small business.

I don't know why you keep jumping to conclusions that its "a new console" its almost like ANYTHING SEGA hardware related and likely related to Hardware offends you. Like you take offense to the idea that SEGA can do anything besides software and think that somehow anything they do means someone is saying its a new console. VR wouldn't be related to consoles. It would be related to Arcades.

I really, really, REALLY wish people would stop ignoring SEGA's core brand and business. They are an Arcade company first and foremost. NEVER overlook that.

Regarding if they'll ever make home consumer products again. It ALL depends on their Arcade and Amusement Machine division. That's up to Sega Interactive,Ltd. It's how Sega's console brand got started back in the early 80s. They didn't just wake up one day back in 1982 and say "Let's build a game system from scratch and sell it" they did what they have always done: Took an existing Arcade Board and built a home conversion of it. During the past half decade or so, under Sega Corporation, there wasn't a separate Arcade division that was focused on Arcade Hardware products and accessories, so all of the speculation was just guessing and wishing. But with Sega Interactive,Ltd and SEGA flat out putting together a strategy to become more of a global Arcade giant, its now a likelyhood in the distant future.

And as for people who "are so sure that it'll never happen", I'd ask them this: Do you have any proof? Or your just so burned out by fan wishful speculation, that just because they were wrong with their theories means you know the real answer, you know for sure that nothing will ever happen and that SEGA will remain the SEGA YOU want them to remain forever even though you can't definitively prove that its not happening.

V-GADGET is likely a VR Device for SEGA Arcade games and Arcade lines. That's what I theorize, and once the trademark gets filed in the WIPO(which is the database for ALL Worldwide International Business Trade) for public viewing, it should be confirmed.
