Sonic Runners Adventure
« on: June 11, 2017, 09:23:15 pm »

Finally hands on Sonic Runners Adventure.
Purchased it from Czech Republic's Gameloft Store where it's already available.
The price is quite cheap, around USD 2.
Since this is not from Google Play store, the achievement isn't connected to Google Play account.
The Gameloft account will allow us to re-download on other devices the games we already bought.
We have 5 re-downloads per game per Gameloft account.

About the game : I quite enjoy it and my 6 years old son also likes it due to it's easy control (but hard to master).
The gameplay as we already know is simple : just tap to jump, tap twice to double jump, and tap three times to triple jump.
Of course we can do more jump than three by jumping on enemies.

And don't let the screenshots and youtube videos make you think that it's worse than Sonic Runners.
It's actually better and somehow it plays smoother (may be because it's offline?).
Basically it’s Sonic Runners with unlimited lives and without all that micro transaction non sense.
It's a good and solid mobile game. 8 of 10.

My only concern is the graphics. Runners had incredible style.

Graphics look bad compared to Runners, but not terrible. I just think they need the outlines again.

It's not actually that bad if we play it on a tiny phones.
Unless we played it on the tablet or watching the footage on youtube, it does look worse.
May be the downgrade is intentional to make it more accessible for many devices. I have a tablet that couldn't run Runners before (said it's not supported) but it could run Runners Adventure now.

What I dislike is the music for stage 1. They changed it into Green Hill zone theme.
