Thinking of Selling my 360?
« on: March 05, 2011, 01:35:23 pm »
I have a limited edition Resident Evil 5 Xbox 360 that I am thinking of selling so I can invest somewhere else. I got very emotional when a RE5 Edition was announced ultimately a better decision would've been to buy a limited edition RE5 for PS3 instead.

It was also disappointing that the RE5 edition system didn't come with the extra swag from the games limited edition.

I think the biggest disappointment was RE5 as a game. Either way I have Alan Wake Limited Edition it is the only game I want to play for the system so once I'm done I'll sell the system.

I'll Obviously sell it with RE5 & SSF2Turbo that it came with.
I'll also throw in games like Lost Planet, Devil May Cry 4 limited Edition, Condemned: Criminal Origins, GTA4 and at least 3 more games. Obviously i'll hang on to Alan Wake & Sonic 06.

So how much do you think would be a good price estimate?
Ebay was no help as no one was bidding on the systems.

I'll probably sell it in August.

If you are going to keep some games and may have interest in some others that have been released or will be soon why would you sell the console at all? I am especially surprised you are not into the Indie games there.

As for what you should sell it for... I would sell it sooner than later. The demand for the original Xbox 360 is so low now and will only get much lower as the year continues, especially seeing as how Kinect continues to do pretty damn good.

I cannot imagine you getting much more than 250 USD for that whole bundle though, and like I said, the demand is only going to go down.

Good luck.

So much for it being a fucking limited edition.

I'll eventually get my hands on another 360 or x720 down the road.

Alan Wake and Sonic 06 are some of the finest games I've played this generation and I generally don't like to sell games but 360 has just been a bad experience so I am hoping to get a little return on investment.

This generation as a whole is nothing short of terrible, could we imagine 10 years ago that not only Microsoft will enter gaming, it will lead it?

Sad, pathetic times we live in.

A world without a home console running off Arcade Ports :(.

Sonic '06? I don't want to beat a dead horse, but really, finest game of this generation? C'mon dude! I swear I've heard you slag the game off here, so which is it? Also, '06 is hardly a 360 defining game, as it is on the PS3 as well. Perhaps you weren't looking in the right places for great 360 exclusives?

This generation has been great fun. "nothing short of terrible" is complete bullshit. I'm curious, have you played a good deal of the current gen games that we gush about here at the forums? Because if you have, I doubt you'd be calling this gen "terrible", "sad" and "pathetic".

Well 06 was released before the PS3 even came out. I just got my PS3 next month (that is when it will arrive).

Yes, I don't play a lot of consumer video games.

Last year on my 360 I played

Lost Via Domus (amazing if your a show fan)
Dead Rising (awesomeness)
Lost Planet (it was so boring I stopped midway)
Max Payne (replay)
Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne
Condemned (dark and boring but I pushed through and persevered)

Currently playing Alan Wake and Condemned 2:BS (basically i've stopped C2:BS to focus on Wake)

I am more into Arcade gaming therefore the game I've played most on 360 is Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter 4. You have to admit home consoles barely have arcade games.

@ Sanus: XNA is bull shit and a real monopolistic code - very unindependent.
See all the dc devers they choose independently to release a game on Dreamcast, they are free to port it from any platform or port it to any platform with XNA on the other hand it is locked down to XNA. The game has to be coded from scratch for it, or recoded if the developer wants to port it.

People who like indie games love the Wii, GP2X, Pandora and other lesser known gaming hardware.

My indie love is channeled exclusively to SEGA hardware.

I don't know, maybe.

Check this out:

Me and my little cousins beat Sonic Colors pretty quickly and right after beating it we popped in Sonic 06 and boy did we have fun.

We played Crisis Zone, Radical Train and Wave Ocean. We had so much fun and we all thought the game was 10 times better than Colors, in order to reassure ourselves we played White Acropolis arguably the worst stage in the game and even then we all concluded that 06 is a better experience.

As my old physics teacher who was bad at English used to say:
"And then they be EsploSion, and they Die by being dead"

That one won't work on me, I thought Sonic Colours was pretty rubbish too. Well, not rubbish, but mediocre at best.

Actually, I don't enjoy Sonic 06 in the slightest, I think it's the single worst game I've ever had the displeasure to play, but I also think that Sonic Colours is pretty mediocre.

So if Sonic Colours is like a Pizza that tastes kinda so-so, then Sonic 06 is like eating razor blades tipped in acid.

Oh Come On, if anything Sonic 06 is a Pizza that simply hasn't been baked.

Razor blades tipped in acid, a bit much.

You should play Atari ET, or Bubble Ghost (any platform).  Those are the worst two games ever.

So?  He's saying 06 is the worst game HE'S ever played.  What does listing worse games have to do with anything?
