Yep, that topic was viral for some times in Indonesian gaming community and social media.

I personally didn't feel anything other than thinking "hey, that's cool." since I don't play Pokemon games, but my Nintendo fan friends here were hyped and excited.
I've yet to play Sword and Shield myself, but from what I know of it and how it represent British culture, it feels like they go all-out on some cultural things and go half the mile on others.
For example, yeah, UK likes football. But was it needed to turn Pokémon Gyms into football stadiums when other regions Pokémon Gyms just look like converted warehouses?
Also, how come we didn't get a cool villain team? Instead, Galar had hooligans who were following Marie around.
If I could put my pen to Sw/Sh script, I would either make the Pokémon Gyms more traditional to Pokémon games, or rename them "Pokémon Arenas" or "Pokémon Stadiums". Wyndon Stadium's Challenge Cup could still be treated like a major football event though.
Instead of Team Yell, I would've had a criminal organization based on British street gangs (think
Peaky Blinders). I like the idea they started out when Kanto-Johto regions Team Rocket tried to expand to other regions and started a branch in Galar. But as Team Rocket fell apart, the branch in Galar became an independant criminal gang called "The Rockets".
Also, I noticed pokémon such as the
Herdier line and
Snubbull line not native to Galar. This makes no sense to me given they're based on British dogs.
Lastly, while the Galar region does not have the popular Hex Maniac trainer class, I like to imagine them either wearing Victorian gothic dresses, or just how they appear in Ruby and Sapphire.
