Facebook comments are bottom of the barrel SEGA fans. If you can even call them fans.

I always find it funny when they go into long, really serious paragraphs about desicions Sega did decades ago. Like really? None of these people work there anymore, at this point you should probably see the 32X and Mega CD as something quirky rather than a death sentence.

Oh yeah, the thing is none of them understand why stuff lke the SEGA CD or even 32X came about. These kids read about them and said 'Wait, that is not a smart move. Let me go on facebook and tell SEGA what they should have done'.

Yeah, good one dickwad. What do you think will come out of it? Are they sitting in their computer waiting for a SEGA private message asking them to be CEO of SEGA?

Epitome of stupidity.

I think the most hilarious part about this would be how cliche it is. Before someone piles onto Sega or some Sega product, they love to clarify that they used to be very into Sega until about 04/05. In 2001, people did the same thing. Fan of Sega until 94/95.

By saying you used to be a Sega gamer until this or that, and now I'm going to take a dump on Sega, you're practically giving yourself away as a 15 year old nintendo fan without a clue as to what you're on about. It's a virtual shibboleth.

I am SEGA Dude on there, and destroyed his posts...only to receive three warnings for using words such as "foolish", or correctly using "ignorant" in a sentence. It amazes me.

Yeah.  I find it weird how the Sega forums protect the trolls.  I remember a long  time member kept harassing me through pms due to disagreeing with him and showing him facts on trends (he suggested that there was no way the ps3 at the time could comeback and outsell the 360). Yeah he never got a warning for using worse language than what's you did and privately harassing me.

Seems like the mods are more than OK to protect idiots.

It's understandable why SEGA Forums gives out warnings for anything that could possibly resemble insulting someone. They are a big company forum and it would reflect badly on them if they didn't. Of course no one is perfect, everyone is human and makes mistakes. In the case of people saying bad things about SEGA, usually best just to ignore them, no matter what you say you aren't going to change their minds. They've made their mind up a long time ago. Not worth the energy or possible warning. Just let them continue to be ignorant if you are sick of being nice to them.

Right here! You probably haven't noticed me because I've changed a lot compared to how I used to be when I was younger. Definitely embarrassed by posts I've made from years ago, but I'm sure most people are in regards to their past =)

What matters is that people eventually realize how silly they were acting and learn from their mistakes and grow as a person.

32x, I agree was a bad idea with a low number of games released for it. The idea was to upgrade a last generation console and extend its life, the issue is that the SEGA Genesis didn't need either units and technically would have been better off skipping the Game Gear, 32x, Nomad, and CD; while focusing its pure attention on Genesis.

The issue (not counting the 32x) is that everything they released was to challenge competitors.

And that why it was such a silly idea to bring the system out .The  Mega Drive successor was ready to go in 1994/5 . They was no need to try and extend the MD life at that point and it being a Cart system was also a backward step .
