The comments seem to be severely dumb however. People complaining about the DLC mechanic not knowing you're getting the complete gameplay experience only without some diehard VF content missing.

Virtua Fighter had a surprisingly good turnout yesterday, and everyone who played it was genuinely impressed with how good the game was. My first match in the tournament was against another Goh player who steamrolled me, then I won the second match (loser's brackets) which was pretty close against an Eileen, then got knocked out of the tournament by a good Vanessa player. Played a ton of casuals afterwards though, which was really fun.

I actually managed to do better in KOFXIII where I had a pretty good run surprisingly.

I really hope that it keeps momentum, but it seems like it should, there were a lot of people playing the game, and some others who said they were keen to pick it up.

SEGA confirms Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown has over 300,000 downloads in it's first 2 weeks of sales. At the rate this game is going, bound to hit over a million... Looks like it's going to end up being a massive success for SEGA.

I don't get how people don't understand the DLC model Sega is going for.


The COMPLETE game is about 40 bucks. But if I only want the basic gameplay with no customization and extra modes, I save myself 25 bucks. Right?


I wish every game was like this.
Like if I could get Mass Effect 3 at launch for 20 bucks, only without sidemissions or something. Would be great.

I kind of wish my online rankings recorded how often I played local and unranked vs, because I play those a ton more than ranked.

Xbox stats site tells me I played the game over 60 hours last month. Kind of a shame that I only played one game in April and suddenly have a dozen games I need to beat fast, but barely have enough free time only want to play VF.  :D

A great match but I think the Fuudo Itazan showdown was the best of the entire show. WOW.
