Gonna have to disagree with Mike in his statement that the EyeToy was hugely successful.

Also, arcade ports for the Natal? Yes please!

The eyetoy sold over two million in Europe in a year, not sure about America though. So yes I would consider it a success.

Except the Eyetoy did a third of its total sales in a year in one region.

games that are repetitive fun - easy to pick up and pass around. That's where we could either use old Sega IP or come up with new ideas.

Perhaps this is a continuation of what was started with ourun online arcade, and the upcoming xbla afterburner climax release. Is Hayes suggesting that casual games and arcade games are not all that far removed? When phrased like that you would think so.

Believe it or not, the Eyetoy was a success. Do you think a multi-billion dollar company like Microsoft just decided to 'copy' a failed product and release their own "Vision Cam"? Now the Vision Cam, that is a failure. Eyetoy was a success.

That has about 2 games on it as extras. It is mostly just to have a web cam for your face and other useless things.

Again, that does not disprove my point.

I'm concerned about him talking about taking Total War in a new direction, I really hope they don't ditch the great series they have now and replace it with some MMO bullshit.

Although the main series is still a critical and commercial success for them, so they likely won't do anything dumb like that, but I still worry.

Good to hear him mention E3 revealing some more cool games for Wii and talking of a Bayonetta Sequel though.

What point?

Eyetoy is a piece of crap that everyone hates and has about the same amount of games as the 32X.

What's your strategy as far as core games on Wii go after the problems you had with MadWorld? Are you reducing your presence in that area?
No, not at all - you'll see that at E3. One of the things is whether they're super-mature - that's a different thing. But the Wii market is huge. Going for the super-hardcore? Probably, the answer is not. But do we think there are edgy games we can bring out on Wii? Yes.

... Please tell me he's just joking.

But sold more and was copied by the competition. End of. Sales make a success.

Xbox Live Vision is literally just a webcam thing, the minigame collections for it came way later. It was just meant for extra features, it was not supposed to have games for it.

George is MAD !!!
