Wait, so I sold out for enjoying it? Or sold out for wanting old Sega games to be represented?
Actually tis was a joke. I would like to see some Master System games

Whew! I was afraid that the definition of "sell out" was so far reaching that even I, an "underground gamer" (according to the 360 profile settings) could not escape. Welp, off to listen to Bentley Jones!

Seriously though, Sega needs to get on a PS3/360 Alex Kidd's Awesome Master System Collection followed by Lowly Worm's Penultimate Pico Collection.

I played through every Alex Kidd game when they came out, and you don't want to play Alex Kidd in High Tech world.

First you take a Sega quiz to get out of the house.  (okay...)
Next you go on a quest to assemble the pieces of a fake passport (most of the game)
They turn down your fake passport (throw the controller)
Call Sega's free support line, they tell you what to do.

Go to the shrine to the gods you passed earlier.
Pray to the gods 100 times (use toothpicks on your eyelids to keep you awake, since every time you pray, they make you get up and walk away when you finish)
and a real passport falls out of the sky.  You get the ending where Alex Kidd is playing a Sega game (Hi Tech World is an arcade).  I think the game was Hang On, but I can't remember.

Anyway, I'm with you, Barry.  I bought Centipede and Yars Revenge for my Arcade.  I'm hoping for some sega games.

I'm actually surprised by the amount of free content in Game Room. I've played each game once (per the one free session perk) and replayed a few with the Game Room tokens. I never see myself spending 50 cents as there are so many opportunities for free play. If you really like a game, better to spend six times the price of a single play for the full game. So rip off, it isn't. But I do pity those who waste their 50 cents. Cool in concept, but not worth it.

edit: from the look of it, you earn in-game tokens when friends play games at your arcade which you can then, in turn, use those tokens for free plays at friend's arcades. so you do profit, in a sense. I'm still trying to sort out if one could spam this concept by both players owning a game, you play that game at a friends arcade for free and they in turn earn free tokens and do the same for you.

So Emmett, I'll be playing Centipede in your arcade (as I own it myself) to see if I am able to earn you some free tokens.  :afroman:

This is actually a lot better than I thought it would be, the emulation is especially great.

Not really interested in buying any of the games though, but to get peoples hopes up, in the menu where you can buy games, a six button Genesis controller is clearly visible. POST ON THE FRONT PAGE AS NEWS!

Even better than the Genesis news however is that Microsoft said they would update the service weekly with seven games. Good golly Miss Molly that just got me excited for this big time!

I will sadly never expect 3D games though (no Virua Fighter 2 makes Sanus a sad panda) because the games just boot up right from a menu without any real loading or downloading. I have no idea how this would work with any big 3D games.

I might get Crystal Castles, but that's about it. I'm overall sorely disappointed by Game Room. =(

I suppose I set my hopes way too high...

Were you hoping for more games and third person walk about mode? Because both are coming.

Do you have an official news release which confirms that? Because I'm not finding any... @_@

More games will be added weekly, and a third person view request has been something Krome has heard quite a bit and they claim that Game Room will evolve as it goes on.

No sources because I'm a lazy ass  :afroman:

I figured out the token system:

You start out with 20 tokens. 5 tokens = 1 free credit.

You receive 1 token every time a person enters your arcade but you are limited to 1 token per person a day.

So if any one here plans on visiting my arcade whenever they boot up Game Room, I'll be sure to return the favor. Help a Bits brother out, right?

This still confuses me.

If I wanted to play an arcade game with you, for example, and I had no tokens, would I be able to? This would be in your arcade and with a game you purchased (assume I purchased nothing).

Yeah, I'm trying to wrap my head around that (ooh, 'ello!). Like, I can't play a challenge sent by another player with tokens, I have to own it or use 50 cents of real cash.

I just deleted it since I was playing a game on tokens, then suddenly the game expired due to a trial countdown (I thought I paid for it?). After that it stuck me back at the buy screen and I purchased another play without noticing. I was just pressing A to shoot something in the game and it happened without warning.

I am not sure how this broken crap even got released.

Wellll, Game Room take a little getting used to, but I think you're overly dramatizing it.

Still, better you delete it and stop using it than continue complaining about it.
