So uh...I just noticed this again the other day and it hasn't been updated since 2012. And it's still stickied. Let's dump it?

Don't dump: just update it.

Don't dump: just update it.

Well clearly nobody is interested in doing that.

We can unpin it. There has been so little releases this year that it was inevitable for such a thread to go unused for a good while. Maybe we can find an alternative for when the forums get a facelift, like an upcoming releases box or something?

There's actually a lot of releases this year towards the end;

Alien: Isolation, Sonic Boom, Valkyria Chronicles PC port, Hatsune Miku Project Diva f 2nd, Football Manager 2014 and the recent Company of Heroes expansion.

Counting in SEGA Japan's release and Atlus' makes the list rather ridiculous.

Yeah it's just me being an ass, also because i've played literally nothing out of the list. Not yet at least. The only one I dd buy so far is valkyria chronicles.

How is SEGA with anouncing games? They usually dont do it a year ahead I think right? Mostly like a couple of months? Just wondering if 2015 still has potential because so far it feels like it may become less.

No, If you're unhappy with Sega's output you are free to say so.  The only title in that list of note is Alien( I already goddamn own VC thanks very much), and guess what; I have never been interested in Sega for games like that.  I'm tired of pretending everything is hunky dory.  It's not.  Creative Assembly and Atlus are great but they're not why I fell in love with this company.  Not by a long shot.

It is a valid point.

However there is quite the difference between "Sega's release list this year is non existent" vs "Sega's release list this year doesn't interest me"

On deals with more or less  factual observation. 6 games alone is a pretty healthy amount of titles in such a short time frame. The second is dependent on opinion and could be ascribed to almost any publisher.

I've lost a lot of love for CA recently to be honest. Factions in Total War are now DLC and pre-order bonuses instead of unlockable? FUCK YOU.

I still think the Shogun 2 Blood packs are the biggest kick in the balls ever....but factions are pretty damn close at this point.

I see it completely differently. The Blood Pack is a purely aesthetic thing, makes no difference to the overall gameplay, whereas factions are an integral part of the game. They are basically locking out a huge portion of the game as a pre-order bonus that used to be free, it's just disgusting behaviour.

EDIT: Has Sega turned into one of the bad guys? Are they just EA, but with less popular games?

Sega's EA like DLC policies only seem to affect TW.

Empire had elite units(a ton of them)
Shogun had the clan packs.
and Rome 2 is faction packs.

I just don't bother with the DLC outside of things like the Warpath campaign. Now however I can't justify a day one purchase of TW anyway. So I'll just now wait...just like I do for other publishers...for the "complete" version of future TW games.

No need for such a combative post, as JRCade said, there's a difference between SEGA isn't releasing the type of games I enjoy vs SEGA isn't releasing any content. This topic has never made a distinction from SEGA's Japanese titles vs their acquired studios or titles produced for their regional divisions.

EDIT: Has Sega turned into one of the bad guys? Are they just EA, but with less popular games?

You either die a hero like THQ or live long enough to see yourself become the bad guy like EA.

Although personally I don't think so it's fair to compare a publisher who has a mixed bag to one that has had consistently screwed over it's customers. Besides it's sadly the norm in the industry now : (
