Isn't HotD gritty enough? The stage intros and game intro were inspired by the movie Seven, and those are as gritty as you can get what with the drab colors and dirty film aesthetic.

HotD is meant to be a B-grade zombie flick, not grimdark. It's meant to be
'I'm Fine, but Harry's....'
'No. Why.'

And most importantly;
"Suffer like G did?"

I think I know what Kori-Maru is getting at. The Resident Evil remake for GameCube had graphics that bordered on photo-realistic. It took a game that looked like an effective B-grade horror film and made it even creepier. I can see House of the Dead getting that sort of visual treatment. Being able to see insects crawling in the rubble outside the mansion, blowing off a zombie's head in a glorious display of red mist intermixed with chunks of rotting human meat. It would certainly benefit from an HD remake. That's not to say it wouldn't be a lightgun, because it would. The game would simply have updated visuals and sound. I'm down for that.

However, my first choice would be the original Phantasy Star from the SMS. Updated graphics, sound, and - as an added bonus - the original un-touched Phantasy Star. That would kill.

They kind of did that, well if you consider ps2 modern era (I understand if you don't). It wasn't 3d or anything like that. Just new sprites for everything and updated music.

From Phantasy Star Generation collection? No, I wouldn't count that one. I'd like to see it in 3D with PS3/360 quality graphics. I think it would look pretty incredible.

wait, I thought all we were allowed was an hd remaster ala jet grind radio or SA2 on PSN/XBL.  Nights is kind of a fluke given that the new models were done up for the ps2 physical release.  Sega has never done anything like what you're describing.

Didn't they kinda do it with SF Ressurection of the Dark Dragon?

Indeed. I wish they would apply that formula to any Phantasy Star numbered game

Does Shining Force 3 applies?  ::)
Or at least just a remake. But quite hard to achieve, now that Camelot is on the other side of the barrier.

They already have one for me...but too bad it's in Japanese.

Big fan of Claymore, Miria in particular.

Currently playing Yakuza 0.

i played that game and actually without even speaking japanese. just look translation on the inet. its a good game for real. no remake just change the language and bring it out.
but the thing with sega gaga its really a pro sega game against others so no one would like it on another console.

but i love to believe that sega will be succesfull like the game portrays

Why Sonic 3 & Knuckles? Genuine question, just because I don't see how that game could be improved by modern means. The graphics are still nice in a retro way and the controls etc couldn't be improved either.
