SEGA has basically, mostly, sold off its Arcade arcade business to GENDA, a company founded in 2018 to operate arcade rentals, online crane games.I know its mostly a Japanese thing, but SEGA’s arcade business has been part of its history almost since the start and having them sell off 85% of the shares on the companies 60th Anniversary is a bit bitter.

Also, something I've already said quite a few times here in the magazine columns, but the coronavirus pandemic is affecting all aspects of game development and making our work much harder than it normally has been,."
I think SEGA pulling 85% out of a business like Amusement Centers is a good thing, while they profited for awhile, that profit had been up and down. Never stable and it continued to shrink. SEGA pushing more developers and workers into making software titles, especially since they are on the rise in sales and due to COVID-19 a lot more people are playing video games at home; it makes sense to adapt.
Toshihiro Nagoshi : “We do get this request a lot. Of course there are exceptions, but fighting games generally have female characters, and personally I don’t really want to see Kiryu beating up women.”"

For the most part Power Instinct strayed little from the proven Street Fighter II formula but managed to introduce some genuine charm into the fold (the final boss / old lady’s slightly younger sister Octane is a playable character and one of her attacks involves throwing her dentures at opponents). It sounds zany and silly on paper but the play experience is surprisingly solid.Power Instinct has become a staple franchise in Japan where it spans 6 games, novels, soundtracks, calendars etc.
