They're "cool". That and ice is one of the more underappreciated "super powers" out there. Usuallty associated with villainy given how it freezes and kills, or, as Mr. Freeze states, feels that his heart is frozen cold and hard.

But snow and ice can be a fun element to be associated with.


That and, while I know some people complain about snow, I've never had a white Christmas before and wish for one.
