So what exactly is the difference between the Anodes and Cathodes? Is it like Sonic and Shadow where despite being different spectrum of morality they're often fighting the same cause, or is one 'ode loyal to Sega and the other 'odes are the players?
Anode and Cathode forms represent the positive normal state and the negative corrupted form of the Cast but they are both loyal to SEGA since SEGA was their creator.
We have to defeat them and convinced them to join us by telling them the truth about SEGA.
Anode characters will join us after they realized that SEGA was in the wrong but Cathode characters mostly only joined us for fun or because we are stronger than them.
They kinda don't care who's wrong or right.
In gameplay, it also means that each character has an alternative version that makes them a whole new beast altogether but sadly both cannot be used in the same team. For example if the team is already having Golden Axe (Anode), we can't use Golden Axe (Cathode).
