I guess so. Just seems sad Sega retiring another Virtua Sports series. But capitalism is when there's more than one enterprize you can choose from so one does not have the absolute monopoly over a market. Wouldn't a new Virtua Striker game still have a chance against EA's FIFA games? People are more aware of EA's corruption, people are more aware of FIFA's corruption. If they don't want to spend money or supporting either, Virtua Striker would be an alternate choice.

FIFA might be corrupted but EA aren't. They're just greedy. Corrupted and greedy are different things.
Also EA has no monopoly, Konami is also there.
Winning Eleven series (known as eFootball™ series or Pro Evolution Soccer series in western) from KONAMI is always ready to take EA's throne if their EA Sports FC became greedy like EA's other games, but so far EA Sports FC game is fine and fair.
EA are just too good at defending their throne by making a good football game.
At least for console and PC version though.
