Michael Jackson's Moonwalker Is Coming To MiSTer And Analogue Pocket This Week

Quote
FPGA developer Jotego has teased the release of a core for Michael Jackson's Moonwalker arcade machine for later this week.
Released in 1990 on Sega's System 18 arcade board, Moonwalker is an isometric beat 'em up, which differs greatly from the Genesis and Master System versions released in the same year.
Jotego is currently working on expanding the System 18 library on Analogue Pocket and MiSTer; so far, we've had the likes of Shadow Dancer and Alien Storm.
The core ...

New Michael Jackson Sega game?

No, it's the old arcade game that never got a port in console / PC / home system before.
(Mega Drive version is a different game btw).
One of my favorite arcade games back then.

I think I had the Mega Drive game at one point, but never played the isometric arcade game.

The isometric one is better ... if it's played by two / three players.
It's designed as a multiplayer game.
For one player experience, the Mega Drive one is more fun.

Michael Jackson Surges Back Onto Multiple Billboard Charts

Quote
For many musicians whose heyday has passed, or who are no longer with us, landing just one placement on a Billboard chart is a big win. Keeping a career-defining single or perhaps a lifetime-spanning compilation on a single list shows that there’s still interest in an artist’s catalogue, and there are many well-known figures who can't manage even that performance each week.
Of course, Michael Jackson is not the average artist. He’s not even the typical legacy act. It’s not uncommon for him to appear on multiple charts with both songs and albums, which is exactly the case this week, but the focus is, as almost always, on the full-lengths.
Two of Jackson's albums appear on the Billboard rankings this time around. Both manage to find a home on more than one list, and ...

Happy 35th anniversary for "Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker" (SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive)!

Quote
Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker was first released 35 years ago today for SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive.
The game concept and design was by noneother than Michael Jackson himself.
The prototype version contained the song "Thriller", which was replaced with "Another Part of Me" in the final version.

Lionsgate & Universal’s Michael Jackson Biopic ‘Michael’ Moves To Pre-Summer 2026

Quote
The delay with Michael has been twofold, one being its length — there was a first cut in excess of 3½ hours. There also have been reports that the initial cut of the movie made references to 13-year old Jordan Chandler, who accused Jackson of molestation and who the pop singer settled with for $20M in 1994 with no admission of guilt. While the screenplay by three-time Oscar nominee John Logan was developed, approved by the estate and shot to include Chandler, after production wrapped, it was revealed there was an agreement for him not to be included. Hence the production had to go back and ...

Paris Jackson Distances Herself from Upcoming Biopic About Dad Michael Jackson: 'Leave Me Out of It'

Quote
Paris, who is one of Michael's three kids, wrote in one post that she "read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my notes about what was dishonest / didn't sit right with me and when they didn't address it i moved on with my life. not my monkeys not my circus. god bless and god speed."
She said in one video that she is "clarifying that I wasn’t involved at all" after Colman Domingo, when asked, spoke about her and the project as he and Paris were both among the attendees at the amfAR gala in Venice on Aug. 31. (Colman hosted the event, which raised over $3.4 million for HIV/AIDS research and awareness.)
"We’ve chatted briefly," said Domingo, 55, who portrays Paris' grandfather Joe Jackson in the film. "But her brother [Prince] is very much a fan of the film. He’s also a producer on ..."
