The remake comes to us from Nalua Studio, a developer that specializes in new Neo-Geo games. They’d already made waves with their new, original beat-em-up title Vengeance Hunters, on Neo-Geo and modern platforms, and another Neo-Geo from them, Necro Pop, is also on the way soon. Employed with them are pixel artists who worked on games like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Ninja Gaiden Ragebound, and Lords of Exile, and they will be making all new pixel graphics for this new version of Gley Lancer. My younger-self would really love this. I used to do progamming for M.U.G.E.N stages but I'm too old for any kind of programming right now.
I did had ideas for a Master System game called "Dracula's Keep". It could work as a Mega Drive game, but I was curious if I could plan a game where the controller consist of two buttons.
Well, we have dragons here in Komodo island, but they don't kidnap anyone.
They just straight ate everyone in their way, be it monkey, boar, or human.

Well, it's not like it would be difficult to kill a komodo dragon. I mean, I wouldn't want to take one on bare-handed. Maybe with gun, or a spear at least.
But I imagine komodo dragons are legally protected.
No, given SEGA was already busy with their core franchises at that time, I think it's nice for them to give third parties a chance with other franchises even though they didn't get involved much.
True. But given it's not made or produced by Sega, I can't help but question some of the authenticity of the Sega Renaissance games.
Kind of like being hired to make a commission piece, then letting someone else do the commission instead of you.

Depended on the gameplay. If it's a simple platformer usually it could do fine with just jump and action button.

Actually it's hard. The bigger ones still could run at us at full speed after being speared and spit poison at us which make us paralyzed. We'll need modern guns and should aim them from afar. But yeah, they're legally protected now.

It's not unique to SEGA, other game companies do that too.

I imagine it an isometric labyrinth survival horror game.

You play as Johnathan Harker who is attempting to escape Dracula's castle by looking for three keys for the front door. He has on his possession and rosary which he can use to either defend him from Dracula or his wives, or hang on a door to prevent Dracula from entering rooms. You eventually find two other rosaries which you can use strategically.

I figured "Dracula's Keep" would be a play on words.

Komodo dragons look roughly the size of a large dog to me, but I imagine they would still be deadly to fight.
It's not unique to SEGA, other game companies do that too.[/spoiler]So would you say games like Alex kidd DX and Streets of Rage 4 are still Sega games, even if they were not developed or produced by Sega?

I think Isometric view doesn't really look good in 8-Bit graphic like SMS, better for MD then.

Yeah, considering how long they are (Komodo dragons can grow up to 10 feet /3 meters long), it's still scary to think they can reach speeds of 20 km/h when they run to catch the preys.

We'll see how it goes.
I'm currently concentrating on other projects.

This is an older picture, I made some progress, but kinda in a slump with it right now.

On second thoughts, even with a weapon, I don't think I should mess with a komodo dragon.
Leave it to the experts.
