Yes, if there's one thing that I agree about fishing, it is kinda good for meditation and relaxing.

And it's cheaper, given you just need fishing equipment and a place to fish. Not expensive golf equipment and paying to play on a golfing green that's perhaps funded by taxpayers for land only rich people get to play on.

For real sports it's not fair for me to compare since I never played golf, but at least miniputt is still fun than fishing.

That's really debatable, so depended of the purpose I guess.
Just like "Hunting", fishing could be defined as a sport when there is prize money or prestige attached to winning a particular competition.
Without that, it's just a recreational hobby like reading or sightseeing.
